A file placed upon Aoife’s desk with a note attached that reads:
“The information on the peculiar woman who calls herself ‘Crimson’ follows. While she seems capable in many ways that might be useful to this company, my personal recommendation is that she not be left to handle any tasks of great importance on her own as her underlying narcissism and selfishness have a tendency to take precedence when she believes that she’s in charge. Further recommendation would be to have one’s linkpearl available at all times so that an excuse to leave the frenetic and loud brawler can always be at hand”
Name: She calls herself by a multitude of names, but most notably: “Xifang” and “Crimson”. She may also attempt to convince you to call her “Gorgeous”. Do not do this if you wish to escape conversation at any point. Further research has uncovered that while she does not ever readily give her lastname to anyone, there is evidence she might be related to a politician family with the surname of “Ivers”
Age: She professes to be any age that she feels like in a given situation. Despite her pathological deception, it appears that she is 19 years old.
Race: Hyur-Midlander
Height: Xifang is just a smidge shorter than average height. A recording of an overheard conversation with her offers this quote: “I’m too short to be considered ‘classically beautiful’ and too damn tall to get away with things because I’m ‘classically cute’. That’s fine. I don’t like the classics anyway”. Suspect she harbors a height related complex.
Nationality: She claims to be a resident of La Noscea but there are no records of anyone by her name there. Speculate that she is really from Ul’Dah.
Profession: A self—professed drifter, Xifang makes a point of alerting people that she finds work to be a boring and tedious obligation and that she avoids boring tedium and obligations at all costs. She sleeps on couches and floors where she can and sleeps in tents outside the rest of the time. Despite her disdain for professional occupations, she has been seen on numerous occasion taking mercenary work and doing small (dare I say ‘tedious’) tasks for the random stranger she encounters. Recently was seen mining while under the watchful eye of heavily armed guards. Perhaps this is some sort of community service as a consequence of her flagrant disregard for the law?
Family: More pathological lying- do not take anything Xifang tells you about her family as truth. She has claimed to be an orphan, to have been raised by an aunt and, on one very strange occasion, to have been raised by Ixali. Recently she was overheard saying she has 6 older siblings. If she is indeed related to the Ivers family and is the lost, runaway youngest of the family this actually checks out. Apart from the missing daughter, there are 6 other children in the Ivers family.
Skills: Particularly well-versed in creating diversions and starting fights. She navigates the social chaos she leaves in her wake with as little effort and concern as someone sipping tea. Despite her ability to be under-foot at all times and her loud voice, she’s also quite gifted at sneaking into places she should not be able to get into. Though she claims to have been trained by a “monk master” her form of brawling seems more self-taught than anything else, though this may be because she only learned from her “master” what she wanted to and disregarded the rest. She has been seen in a few moments of blissful silence creating jewelry. There was also the mining incident. Despite being a prankster and something of a social bully herself, Xifang cannot stand by and watch someone be treated cruelly and will often step in to assist those that cannot help themselves. With her wide range of associations she is also surprisingly good at gathering rumors and finding lost treasures.
Known Associates: Countless. She has been seen following this company’s own Iliette around from time to time, as well as the one called “Nix”. She is present at most large gatherings and is known for attempting to collect large groups of people, often total strangers, in order to form “spontaneous parties”. As a result, she has a far reaching social circle.
Physical Assessment: Xifang’s boundless energy assures that she is quite fit. She has complained that the only flaw she has is her “flat chest” but that is not particularly relevant here. I am not sure why I even mentioned it.
Mental Assessment: Lazy, narcissistic, selfish, and prone to fits of jealousy. Does, however, have a surprising capacity for compassion and the desire and wherewithal to do what she can to bring joy back to Eorzea.
Overall Assessment: If you can look past Xifang’s many obvious and glaring personality flaws, her ability to gather rumors and fight back against what she considers to be forms of injustice could be of great benefit to the organization.
Role in Arcanium: Seeker.
