Reporting: Training
Location: Thanalan/South Shroud
Reason for report: Routine
Narrative body: Six members of Arcanum, (Pinny, Khala, Thel, Keleth, Zachree, Tora), we're involved in a training event lead by myself in an attempt to manage teamwork and leadership skills.
Two leaders were requested, after a silent moment Pinny and Keleth opted into the roles. Leaders were ordered to select team mates one by one in turns. Final teams were as follows. Keleth lead Zachree and Thel. Pinny lead Khala and Tora. The leaders were promoted to lead their people in a race from Scorpions Crossing in Thanalan to Camp Tranquil. The rules stated that teleportation magic was not allowed. It was also stated that the victor would be the team who reached the destination as a whole.
The teams began with Keleth's team moving away quickly together. Pinny's team remained behind a moment and after departure it was noticed that Khala had broken off and left the group. Upon arrival at Camp Tranquil it was found that Khala had moved ahead of her team. Keleths team had arrived together before Pinny's team. Keleth was awarded victory for his team.
The second part of the race was to find a nearby hovel. Requirement of the leader being the first to enter the area in order to claim victory was added.
The teams departed. Keleths team by foot and down through the marsh guided by the words of Thel for navigation. Pinny's team departed over the bridge and kept stead pace with the opposing team until re entry into Thanalan borders. Keleth lead his team awry for a short time. Khala ran ahead of the team on her own at an incredible speed. Pinny's team arrived at the location with Khala being at the head. Keleth managed to overcome navigational difficulties and found his teams way to the location. Victory was claimed for Keleth's team once again. Despite Pinny's team arrival first, they forfeited victory when Khala arrived ahead of her lead.
Personell summary: Thel displayed great leadership potential. Zachree and Keleth both seem to lack leadership qualities but are socially adept and work well within their teams. Pinny lacked control and influence but performed well otherwise. Khala is too independent and lacks the ability to work within a unit.
